| The
Council receives limited operational funding from the
National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and, as such,
it encourages partnerships between private citizens as
well as locally-based corporate businesses with a commitment
to the future of the island. All donations to the Council
are tax deductible. Gifts and donations from non-federal
sources can be used to release special matching funds
from NEH. This means that the Council will match each
dollar with NEH funds. These funds are specifically marked
for community humanities projects.
Since
its inception, the Council has awarded over $600,000
in grants to individuals, organizations and institutions
on Guam. The Council would like to offer more community
programs, especially as they relate to critical thinking
about issues of importance.
Your
donation will help us continue our important work.
